The Water Will Always Win

We have seen trees and branches down around town since the intense storms two nights ago. The City of Fairhope shares that: Section Street near Bayou is currently closed, along with the sidewalk, until further notice. We anticipate holding an emergency City Council meeting tomorrow; the exact time will be announced soon. The meeting will focus on developing a repair plan. We kindly ask residents to avoid this area if possible for their safety.

Since Friday evening, we have recorded approximately 9 inches of rain near downtown. City crews have been actively working overnight to address flooding, monitor lift stations, and respond to power outages.

Crews are currently assessing the area for any additional damage. We encourage residents to report any issues they observe throughout the day. Our teams are on standby and prepared to respond as needed. Learn more here
