A Fairhope Tradition: 12 Days of Christmas
Have you spotted the beautiful old 12 Days of Christmas cards that once hung on the lamp posts? Vicky Cook reminded us that: “These 12 Days of Christmas were painted by Mary Hunter. They were 2 by 4 ft. There were 29 other Christmas wooden cards painted by various artists and Elizabeth Box did a couple of those. The 29 were 4 by 8 ft., very heavy and not able to hang as they once did. Only 20 remain of the original 29. The 12 Days and the other 29 were painted during the 1978-79 year but were not displayed until 1979 due to Hurricane Frederick.”
49 Children need Sponsors for Christmas
The Foster/ Adoptive Association of Baldwin County shared: “Oh my goodness what a day! We have had a lot of Christmas sponsors today, we are down to 49 children to be sponsored for Christmas. We started the day with almost 90 and now down to 49. Wow! Amazing in one day and the day is not finished. Thank you!
Thank you to Elizabeth Stanford for the Amazon package. Thank you Central church for supplying our hot cocoa bar for our Christmas party. Thank you to The Fort storage unit for donating a storage unit for Christmas! Thank you Providence United Methodist church for taking 25 children to sponsor for Christmas!
Wow what a day! We can’t do this without all of you! Our village is awesome! Thank you so much!” Join the effort here: Give Christmas to a child.

Poppies for Veterans around Fairhope
Thank you Eastern Shore Art Center for reminding us of how we can help with this project! Nine years ago on November 11th, ESAC volunteers and staff placed over 3000 ceramic poppies around the Veterans’ Memorial overlooking the Mobile Bay on the Fairhope bluff. This project honored American veterans who had made the ultimate sacrifice when serving in our armed forces over the years.
Today you can still see some of the poppies in gardens around town, but sadly, many have been chipped or broken due to exposure to the weather for so long. However, Gaye Lindsey has put together an easy way to revive your poppies!

Fairhope Adoptable Pets : Meet Mooshu
Meet Mooshu, a striking 3-year-old male black and white cat with a heart full of affection! His distinctive patches make him a standout in any room, but it's his personality that truly shines. Mooshu is independent and knows exactly when he's had enough love, making him the perfect balance of snuggles and solo time.
He adores spending quality moments with his human companions, offering gentle headbutts and purring contentedly by your side. When it's playtime, he transforms into a bundle of energy, eagerly chasing feather wands, pouncing on balls, and darting after laser pointers with impressive agility.
This charming cow cat is ready to bring joy, warmth, and a dash of playfulness to his forever home. If you're looking for a companion who knows how to keep things lively while also appreciating some personal space, Mooshu is the one for you!
