Southern Grove Vineyard Has Successful Grand Opening Weekend

Southern Grove Vineyards in Fairhope threw a grand opening bash this past weekend, and it seems like everyone’s still buzzing about it. Picture this: wine trees overflowing with samples, peach slushies that taste like summer in a glass, and pimento cheese so good it might just become your new obsession. One guest celebrated their birthday there and is already plotting their next visit, while another group of friends went all in, sharing their food family-style and loving every minute of it. The vineyard’s unique offerings and lively vibe clearly made quite the impression—talk about making a splash!

But the fun didn’t stop there. Visitors couldn’t get enough of the stunning views and cozy atmosphere, with one person joking that they’ve found the perfect spot to escape to during hunting season. And let’s not forget the staff—apparently, they’re not just friendly but also fountains of wine knowledge. With so many rave reviews, it’s safe to say Southern Grove Vineyards is quickly becoming the new favorite hangout in Fairhope. If you haven’t been yet, it sounds like you’re missing out on something pretty special!

Annie Jr. Auditions - Eastern Shore Repertory Theatre

Leapin’ Lizards! Get ready to belt out “Tomorrow” because Eastern Shore Repertory Theatre is holding auditions for Annie JR, and they want YOU! Whether you’re a seasoned performer or just love singing in the shower, all 3rd-12th graders are welcome to audition on August 12 or 13—just drop by anytime between 6pm and 8pm at The Nicholson Center in Daphne. No experience? No problem! Just come prepared with a 16-32 bar musical theatre piece, and let your inner star shine. With direction by Erin Langley and choreography by Matthew Kiel, this is your chance to be part of one of the world’s most beloved musicals. Show dates are set for November 8-10, so mark your calendars and get ready to wow the crowd! Be sure to fill out an audition form here.
