Sean’s Prime Dining Closes, Mary Ann’s Deli Moves In
It’s with a heavy heart that we bid farewell to Sean’s Prime Dining, a cherished gem in Downtown Fairhope that’s been at the heart of so many of our culinary tours. Chef Sean Travis fulfilled his dream of serving our community with fresh, locally sourced cuisine, and his passion was evident in every dish he crafted. As Sean’s Prime Dining closes its doors, we’re filled with gratitude for the incredible memories made there. Bob Coppoletta , owner of Mary Ann’s Deli says they will be moving into the space and open in a few weeks. Thank you, Chef Sean, and your entire team for giving us all a “prime time” that we’ll never forget!
More Details on Fairhope’s $10 Million Working Waterfront Project
Fairhope’s waterfront is getting a facelift, but Mayor Sherry Sullivan wants everyone to brace for a bit of chaos during construction. With new traffic patterns, barricades, and limited parking, navigating the area will feel like a game of “find the cul-de-sac.” On the bright side, there are exciting upgrades on the way, including new restrooms, railings, and even a power lift for easier hillside access. The north side of the park will remain open longer, so visitors can still enjoy the beach while the work is underway. Just remember to pack your patience along with your picnic—this project is set to take about 14 months, but the results should be worth the wait! Get the full story from Fox 10 WALA and also the Working Waterfront Project website.
Southern Grove Vineyard Update
Southern Grove Vineyard, which opened just a few weeks ago, gave an update on their operation in an interview on Fox 10. The menu and the wine list are now available to check out all the great new options for Fairhope.

Fairhope Faces : Jesse Ledbetter “Life’s a Pretty Good Humbler”
This is the first guitar I ever bought. Paid for it with one of my first oil field paychecks but never played it. I walked by that guitar one day after I was laid off and thought, ‘I spent way too much money for that thing to not know how to play it.’ I taught myself with internet videos. Played thirty minutes a day–that grew into hours a day and, eventually, a few gigs. Sometimes I play at the Fairhope pier at sunset; people seem to enjoy it. I like to play Tyler Childers’ songs. I get told I look like him. That and Hank Williams, Jr. before he fell off the mountain. Read the whole story on Our Southern Souls.
