Mobile Opera in Fairhope: ‘My Life Online’ This Saturday at ESAC!
Our friends at Let’s Go! Fairhope found this great event — This Saturday, Fairhope locals won’t want to miss the comedic and insightful “My Life Online” as the Mobile Opera comes to the Eastern Shore Art Center. On August 24th at 7:00 PM, this free, one-act opera introduces Kay, an immigration lawyer who’s taken social distancing to the extreme—living her entire life online, from therapy to yoga to work. But when an unexpected crisis involving a child she’s never met pulls her out of her digital cocoon, Kay is reminded of the value of real human connection. Composed by Julliard’s Scott Eyerly and first premiered in Edinburgh in 2023, this USA performance promises 45 minutes of laughter and reflection. More details can be found at www.mobileopera.org.
Nominate the 2024 Veteran of the Year
The City of Fairhope is now accepting applications for the 2024 Veteran of the Year! 🇺🇸 Each year, we celebrate a local veteran who has not only served our country but also made a big impact here at home through their volunteer work. If you know someone who fits the bill, now’s the time to get them recognized!
The 2024 Veteran of the Year will be announced at the final City Council meeting in October. For more details, visit www.fairhopeal.gov/Home/Components/News/News/7764/4013

Help Coming For The "Worst Intersection In Town"?
The Fairhope Times reports that the city council has given the green light for Mayor Sullivan to hire Neel-Schaffer Engineering to tackle the notorious Fairhope Avenue at Ingleside Street intersection, a spot Councilman Burrell dubs “the worst intersection in town.” More details at The Fairhope Times
