Happy Holidays Fairhope!
Dear Friends & Neighbors of Fairhope,
As the holiday season fills the air with its magic, we find ourselves reflecting on the special moments that make this time of year so meaningful. In Fairhope, we are truly blessed to have a community that embraces the spirit of togetherness and celebration. From the Lighting of the trees to the Christmas Parade, Caroling, Art markets, and Christmas Eve Services, our town shines brightly with both twinkling lights and the warmth of friendship. These traditions remind us to slow down, enjoy being together, and create memories that last after the season ends.
Let’s take every opportunity to support our local businesses and artisans who work hard to make this season special. Whether it’s finding the perfect gift at a downtown shop, enjoying a meal at one of our local restaurants, or reaching out to someone in need with a kind word or helping hand, every act of kindness strengthens our community. From our families to yours, we wish you a season filled with love, laughter, and joyful moments. May the magic of Christmas bring us all closer together and remind us of the incredible community we share here in Fairhope.
Warmest wishes and Merry Christmas, John Oldshue & Anne Dorman

Merry Christmas to all, Fairhope!
We are so thankful for Stephen Savage and this idyllic photo of our very own Santa - Cecil Christenberry! This is just one of the beautiful traditions that makes Fairhope so special and that we have all grown to love and look forward to annually. We have spotted Cecil all over town, sharing his Santa ensemble and his kindness with young and old alike. Did you attend any of the numerous holiday events in Fairhope this season? If so - join us in thanking the City of Fairhope!

Restaurant Spotlight: The Barn at Hope Farm
The Hope Farm is delicious for brunch or dinner, but did you know that at the back of the property The Barn offers an incredible breakfast too? It is a casual setting with vaulted ceiling, beautiful decor, live plants in the windows, and counter service. We have tried and recommend: their various coffees, the avocado toast, the daily quiche (meatlovers pictured here), the cheesy omelet, and the fresh pastries! Check it out and share your favorite dishes with us too.
Downtown Fairhope Street Party
The City of Fairhope invites you to join us for an unforgettable New Year's Eve Celebration on December 31, 2024, from 8:30 PM to 12:30 AM. The event promises to be a night of fun, entertainment, and excitement for everyone in attendance!
The festivities will start with a live performance by 80's rock band, U.S. Band at the corner of Fairhope Avenue and Church Street. Come enjoy live music and children's activities including face painting and balloon animals, and games. As the night progresses, visitors can look forward to the much-anticipated ball drop and fireworks show at midnight, sure to be the highlight of the evening.
This free event is open to all, so grab your friends, family, and party hats and join us as we ring in the new year in downtown Fairhope! Be sure to arrive early to take advantage of the celebration specials offered at many of the downtown restaurants and businesses. For more information about the event, please call 251-929-1474 or visit www.FairhopeAL.gov.
Hope Community Race / Walk
Mark your calendar for the Hope Community Walk on January 4th in Fairhope. The Hope Community, in collaboration with the Mobile Bay Maker’s Market, invites you to join us in the inaugural 5K Race/Walk fundraiser to be held in the historic Fairhope South neighborhood.
After the race, Hope Community invites the community to enjoy food, music, and fellowship while strolling through the booths of local makers and growers of Baldwin County on the grounds of the Anna T. Jeanes School property.
Fairhope Adoptable Pets: Meet Max
Adoption fee is covered by a sponsor! Help Max find his forever home before Christmas! Meet Max, a 7-year-old liver and tan Australian Cattle Dog mix with a sweet, friendly nature. This laid-back, chunky boy enjoys the quieter side of life, favoring short, leisurely walks on cool evenings over long, strenuous hikes. While his cattle dog roots might suggest a high-energy dog, Max is perfectly content with calm, cozy moments at home. His easygoing personality and gentle demeanor make him an ideal companion for anyone looking for a relaxed, loving pet.
Max’s love for peaceful surroundings makes him a joy to be around, and he’s ready to settle into a forever home where he can enjoy his golden years. Max is currently available for adoption with a sponsored fee, making it even easier for you to bring this sweet boy into your family. If you're looking for a mellow, affectionate dog to share your life with, Max would be thrilled to meet you. Don't wait—help Max find his new home before Christmas and give him the gift of love and comfort! Learn more about Max and other adoptable pets by clicking through to The Haven.
