Fairhope Severe Weather Threat

From NWS Mobile - Severe storms are possible Saturday afternoon through early Sunday. Isolated storms may develop ahead of a line on Saturday afternoon. A broken line of storms will sweep across the area Saturday afternoon (as early as 4pm in southeast Mississippi) through early Sunday morning (exiting south-central Alabama and northwest Florida as late as 7am).

🌪️ Potential Threats: Damaging winds, tornadoes, hail. A few strong (EF2+) tornadoes are possible across parts of southeast Mississippi and southwest Alabama (in the ENHANCED area denoted on the map in dark orange).

📝 Note: There is a risk of strong to possibly severe storms today (Friday), but the greater risk is Saturday into Sunday.

New Rose Garden at Pier Taking Shape

The Fairhope Times reports that the new rose garden and fountain area design is taking shape, with the flagpole staying in its current spot, a slight adjustment from earlier plans. The project is expected to be mostly completed by July.

Downtown Fairhope Street Party

The City of Fairhope invites you to join us for an unforgettable New Year's Eve Celebration on December 31, 2024, from 8:30 PM to 12:30 AM. The event promises to be a night of fun, entertainment, and excitement for everyone in attendance!

The festivities will start with a live performance by 80's rock band, U.S. Band at the corner of Fairhope Avenue and Church Street. Come enjoy live music and children's activities including face painting and balloon animals, and games. As the night progresses, visitors can look forward to the much-anticipated ball drop and fireworks show at midnight, sure to be the highlight of the evening. 

This free event is open to all, so grab your friends, family, and party hats and join us as we ring in the new year in downtown Fairhope! Be sure to arrive early to take advantage of the celebration specials offered at many of the downtown restaurants and businesses. Hope Community Race / Walk

Mark your calendar for the Hope Community Walk on January 4th in Fairhope. The Hope Community, in collaboration with the Mobile Bay Maker’s Market, invites you to join us in the inaugural 5K Race/Walk fundraiser to be held in the historic Fairhope South neighborhood.

After the race, Hope Community invites the community to enjoy food, music, and fellowship while strolling through the booths of local makers and growers of Baldwin County on the grounds of the Anna T. Jeanes School property.
