Fox 10 reports that with Christmas just around the corner, one Fairhope mail carrier is taking on a special delivery of holiday cheer. While Santa is busy sorting through a global flood of letters, this local postal worker is ensuring that last-minute wish lists make it to the North Pole in time—and sometimes even brings surprises straight from Santa’s workshop back to the children waiting at home.

ELF - Free Movie Tonight on the Bluff !!!

Don’t be a cotton-headed ninny muggins !!! —grab your friends, a cozy chair, and come out to the 4th Annual Christmas Movie on The Bluff! This jolly shindig is totally FREE, so you can save your pennies for extra holiday cookies. Speaking of treats, we’ll have complimentary popcorn, cookies, and hot cocoa to warm your frosty noggin. Swing by between 4-5pm for those last-minute snaps with Santa before he zips back to the North Pole. The movie starts at dark—cue the festive flick! Mapp Family Legacy Immortalized in Bronze Sculpture

A new bronze sculpture unveiled on Dec. 19 at USA Health’s Mapp Family Campus in Fairhope honors the devotion of philanthropists Louis and Melinda Mapp to academic medicine and community wellness. Created by artist Casey Downing Jr., the piece depicts Louis Mapp with Cullen Potter, a patient he met while volunteering to rock newborns in the NICU at USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital. The Mapps donated land for the campus and have supported USA Health for many years, enabling the growth of specialized healthcare, physician training, and community wellness initiatives on a serene, thoughtfully designed property.

Hope Community Race / Walk

Mark your calendar for the Hope Community Walk on January 4th in Fairhope. The Hope Community, in collaboration with the Mobile Bay Maker’s Market, invites you to join us in the inaugural 5K Race/Walk fundraiser to be held in the historic Fairhope South neighborhood.

After the race, Hope Community invites the community to enjoy food, music, and fellowship while strolling through the booths of local makers and growers of Baldwin County on the grounds of the Anna T. Jeanes School property.
