Little Bird Takes Flight

On June 4, the doors opened at Little Bird, a new restaurant tucked into a restored home at 404 Oak Avenue. With six uniquely designed dining rooms—including a cocktail bar and open-air space—Chef Bill Briand and The Hope Farm’s Robert and Bentley Evans unveiled a space that feels as personal as it does polished. Find out more about Fairhope’s newest restaurant here.
Fairhope Pier Update

Construction on the Fairhope Municipal Pier is well underway, with the north end expected to reopen in time for Fourth of July celebrations and full completion anticipated by September. Part of the city’s $10 million Working Waterfront Project—funded in part by a $6.2 million Restore Act grant—the renovation includes new sidewalks, drainage, shoreline protection, a new restroom facility, and repairs to the aging seawall. While some residents have voiced concerns about the use of riprap, Mayor Sherry Sullivan emphasized its importance for long-term resilience. Despite the ongoing work, pedestrian access continues and The Blind Tiger restaurant remains open.

Fairhope Adoptable Pets: Meet Harley

Harley is a kind and expressive black and white Lab mix with a personality as striking as her markings. Known for her gentle soul and big heart, she's the type of dog who immediately puts people at ease. Harley is deeply affectionate and thrives on being close to her humans, always ready to offer quiet companionship or a friendly nudge. Her calm demeanor makes her a wonderful presence in any home, bringing a steady, loving energy wherever she goes.
But Harley also knows how to speak her mind-she's delightfully vocal and isn't shy about letting you know when she's excited, wants attention, or just feels like chiming in. Whether it's a playful bark or a soft "talking" growl, her voice is part of her charm. Loyal and intuitive, Harley forms strong bonds with her people and isn't afraid to stand up as both protector and best friend. She's not just a pet; she's a true family member with a heart full of kindness and a voice full of character.
