Help Move Tolstoy Park

Fairhope has had a long love affair with the Tolstoy House in Montrose. historic structure has been given to the City of Fairhope and will be moved intact to the new Flying Creek Nature Preserve. Henry Stuart built his Round House at Tolstoy Park by hand over a two-year period, completing it in 1926. It is the reminder of the man known as a modern Thoreau, the Hermit of Montrose, and Ye Olde Weaver. Citizens are raising money for this move. The City of Fairhope has agreed to preserve and maintain it once at its new location. Learn more Here.

Molly Thomas’ New Album

Fairhope native Molly Thomas, a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, is launching a crowdfunding Kickstarter campaign to complete her latest solo album, Tumble Home. Nearly six years after releasing Honey’s Fury with her band, The Rare Birds, Thomas began self-funding this new project in 2022. However, a near-fatal car accident left her unable to work for over a year, putting the album’s completion on hold. Now on the road to recovery, she is reaching out to her supporters to help bring the record to life. With a career spanning multiple albums, singles, and collaborations, Thomas hopes Tumble Home will inspire listeners through its deeply personal and evocative sound. Fans can help support the project on her Kickstarter campaign.

Shop Or Donate: Dresses for a Cause

Junior Auxiliary of the Eastern Shore is excited to announce the return of Project Prom for 2025! This event, as always, will be open to all girls in the area who would like to have a fun day of dressing up and walking away with a dream prom dress completely free of charge!

We will have thousands of dresses and amazing door prizes. Help us spread the word! Also, don’t forget as you’re cleaning out those closets for your New Year’s resolutions-we would love your dress donations!

Fairhope Police Training

Just another thing to love about our small town - the local law enforcement officers who serve our community so well. Don’t be surprised if you notice increased Fairhope Police activity around Church Street on Monday, February 17th. From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., several law enforcement agencies will be conducting training at the K1 Center across from Fairhopers Park. Please help spread the word to ensure that the high police presence does not cause any alarm. This is strictly a training session.

Fairhope Adoptable Pets: Meet Gabby

Gabby is a vibrant and loving 1-year-old black and white Labrador Retriever mix who brings joy and energy wherever she goes. With her sharp intelligence and active nature, she thrives on playtime, walks, and mental stimulation, making her an ideal companion for an active family or individual. Despite her energetic personality, Gabby is also incredibly sweet and affectionate, enjoying snuggle sessions and quiet moments with her loved ones. Her loving nature makes her a loyal and devoted friend, eager to form strong bonds with those who spend time with her.

While Gabby is a wonderful companion, she would do best in a home without small children, as her exuberance and playfulness might unintentionally overwhelm younger ones. Gabby thrives in environments where she can engage in stimulating activities, keeping both her mind and body active. She would be delighted to find a family or person who can match her energy while offering plenty of cuddles and love. With her perfect balance of sweetness and liveliness, Gabby is ready to share her heart with the right person who appreciates her unique and playful nature.
